I made a digital drum reader using Piezos on an Arduino with my wife some years ago, For that you need way more than 2 analogue pins.
I don’t see why newer Raspberry Pies couldn’t have something like 12 analogue pins, it would be amazing for many things, and it’s dirt cheap to make today. The ESP32 has 18 AFAIK.
In some ways ESP 32 has way better features than Raspberry Pi, but it is not nearly as user-friendly and it lacks audio. It’s also not a general purpose computer with the things that entail, but “just” an embedded system, although a very good one for sure.

I think it’s strange that they haven’t extended the 40 pin IO capabilities. For instance analogue IO would be very welcome for many purposes.

That’s not the point, the point is that their new developments do not do for the community what the original products did.

A lot of countries have stopped at least some of their dealings with Israel, especially weapons export and import.
Mind you we don’t have an official source that this is true for China, only 1 company that wants to get out of a deal in Israel.

It looks to me like they have lost focus on their original purpose. Which was to provide cheap and open compute opportunity for education and tinkering.

And those rights are actually upheld as law by EU. No other defense or trade alliance or union that I know of, is as observant to human rights as EU is.

EU deals with USA because USA used to be an ally that although a mixed bag, they generally stood for observing international law and for defending democracy.

That has changed and we can’t trust them to do that anymore. So EU has started MANY programs to achieve independence from USA, and on defense one such major program to the tune 2 trillion Euro, is the SAFE program.

If you didn’t hear it, one of the things he emphasized about Canada being a good strategic partner was that Canada stands for stability.
This is very contrary to UK, that has been absolute chaos for a decade now due to Brexit.
But like Canada EU also stands for stability, so Canada and EU are good matches in that regard.
EU is also a strong cooperation between small and middle powers, much in line with what Carney say we need more of.
UK did the opposite, and broke the cooperation with 27 countries of EU.

UK does not stand for the dependability and cooperation among middle states that Mark Carney was calling for. EU does.

Yes that is true, but this trend started already late 2024, and in 2025 Tesla sales were consistently 50% below 2024. Even before Greenland became an issue.
Sweden, Germany and France have had similar decline to Denmark in Tesla sales. And finally sales in Norway are declining for Tesla too. IDK why, but for some reason Tesla remained a darling in Norway longer than for any other European country.

To put that into concrete numbers, VW sold 274,278 EVs to Tesla’s 236,357. And that’s just the VW brand itself—the automaker also owns Skoda (in 4th place, with 171,703 sales), Audi (5th place, 153,845 sales), Cupra (15th place, 79,269 sales), and Porsche (21st place, 32,715 sales).

274,278+171,703+153,845+79,269+32,715 = 711,813
711,813 / 236,357 = 3,01

So VW group has 3 times the sales in Europe that Tesla has. That’s a bit more than “slipped behind”.
Even main VW brand by itself is almost 14% higher than Tesla!

In Denmark with 70% EV sales, No Tesla model is even in top 10 anymore! And that’s despite Tesla basically only sell 2 models!
