I’d be surprised if LTT ever say that Linux is to blame.

He did EXACTLY that, just not about Photoshop, but a similar proprietary piece of software he used for his video editing that is very expensive and targeted ONLY to professionals. Which is not at all relevant for 99.9% of the people that watch his channel. So he basically failed Linux on issues that are irrelevant to by far the most people, either because he is an idiot or he is paid to do so. Which of those it is doesn’t really matter. The point is he made a devastating conclusion for Linux based on a fringe use case that isn’t representative, and he blamed Linux for not supporting the proprietary software and hardware he wanted to use, instead of blaming the vendors that have the responsibility for it, and are the ones making money on it! Because that’s how stupid and misleading he is.

But this is no way near the only reason I have blocked his channel, it is also the blatant corrupt attitude when Ryzen was released, and his extreme favoritism of Intel, that then turned 180° shortly after Intel had announced they would decrease budgets for reviewers. We saw the same with GPU’s where he didn’t even review AMD cards, until suddenly he did, after AMD began paying for advertising on his channel.

The corruption is extreme, and it’s all about which vendors pay him money, and not at all about the products or interest of consumers. Except he is good at pretending it is.

LTT is an advertising company nothing more.

Raspberry Pi specifically supports Linus, and has its own Linux distro, and that is awesome.
But they have their own boot process, so the Pi support for Linux cannot be transferred to other Arm devices. And despite the good support for Linux it took them years to get 3D supported on the graphics side.
Raspberry Pi is very much an exception from the rule. But there are some others like Pine 64.
But when you move to laptops or even Arm phones or Tablets the support is abysmal, unless it SPECIFICALLY suports Arm.
Arm PC’s do not have the same boot process as normal PC’s and laptops, and AFAIK that already is a problem. Arm PC’s are locked in harder.
On Raspberry Pi it’s allowed to install whatever you want, so you can easily install your preferred distro.

So now they seem a lot more positive about Linux. But don’t go here looking for anything Linux related.

They are so childish and ignorant in their approach to Linux, like claiming that the lack of Photoshop for Linux is a problem with Linux and not a problem with Photoshop.

It is not up to “Linux” to write a driver, it is up to the hardware manufacturer. And that is also how it works on Windows. But “Linux” doesn’t give him money. On Windows manufacturers even pay to have these drivers certified! So first they write the driver, then they pay Microsoft to certify them.

Just seeing his channel mentioned pisses me off, because his popularity is harmful to the industry. Watch LTT and leave worse informed than you were before watching that crap.

16 GB is still high end, but at the same time it has a big marketshare. Probably from RAM being way cheaper not that long ago, so it was also upper mid range. But now it is absolutely high end IMO.

I had the exactly that experience a few years back. I ended up using an older smaller card I had used for our media system for almost a year. That was when everything that could do the least bit of crypto mining was insanely overpriced.
I had a card that got a defect under warranty, but the card cost 3 times as much at that time as I had paid, so obviously they just gave me my money back, which is perfectly legal. I sure hope it doesn’t happen again. Although I could afford it, I would hate to have to pay the current crazy prizes.

Because AI has been shown to hallucinate and lie when presented with problems they can’t solve.

There are many claims about AI solving hard mathematical problems, but very few that are confirmed. These stories seem to at least to some degree to act as advertising for AI services.

Doesn’t have to be scientific articles, it can easily be a normal article that state that scientists have confirmed the findings independently.
This is a very common thing for normal media to describe. The second article you linked would most probably have included that if such confirmation existed.
