Enters person putting uncrustables in a slap chop. One slap, and your ready for the next sandwich. (I don’t actually do this, but it does sound like it’d fit)

What was the statement?

“For example, the stated goal of both the Helms-Burton Act and the Torricelli law is to strangle the Cuban economy by cutting off its ability to carry out normal financial relations around the world.”
Torricelli law, that’s a principle of fluid dynamics, guess they shared a name, they must have meant the Torricelli-Graham Bill.

Copy party works pretty well, I’ve liked it. That said I don’t have mine open to everyone, it requires a password for view/read/edit rights or whatnot, which you can easily divy out using a config file. (Not the most secure, but that’s because I haven’t put in any protections myself)

18-29, where do they get this biased claim from? I find it hard to believe people 7 years or so younger than me are trusting false data more than the large swaths of 65+ gobbling up misinformation about immigrants, drugs, etc. “Younger users are more active, more influential in their peer groups, and frankly, often less skeptical about what they’re seeing online.”

The GPUs are basically proprietary to the severs which are near proprietary to their racks/setups. I spent a few months on a contract quality testing new Nvidia graphics severs being assembled by a a Taiwanese company here in the states. From the liquid cooling built into the $2-4 million dollar rack to the proprietary network/data cables to transfer the information at the speeds they do, most people would have no way to use them.

The angriest person I ever saw playing video games was my brother playing Madden when he was younger. Model straight A student, calm person in everything else, very unlikely to ever get in a fight, went on to have a good career, be a good father, never been arrested or even gets traffic tickets… Yet if video game competitiveness while a teenager was an actual tie to judging if a person was violent in their real life… I think banning all sports games/possibly all competitive sports should be higher up their list.
When’s the next time you will see someone physically hit someone in a manner outside the rules/laws. Every given Sunday in the NFL. Saturday in the NCAA… probably won’t even make it that far, is there an NBA, MLB, NHL, or other such physic sports game on today? Competitive wrestlers are known to shove a finger up someone else’s ass if they think a referee can’t see it for a competitive advantage. Football intentionally kneeing people in the ribs or trying to poke people in the eyes when they are in the piles. Most of the fights we see break out stem from cheap shots and rule breaking happening when a referee can’t see, not just shit talking.
If these are the things players are taught and do, why would it be okay to teach kids to play these sports as little kids… Probably because they know their kids aren’t randomly forcing their finger up someones ass or kneeing someone in the head when they go into the office. Different mindsets

I know there is a lot of TikTok users in the U.S. but is it higher percentage wise than most? It’s something like 1 in 3 people which seems pretty damn high. Almost 1 in 5 that logs in daily I thought I saw. No idea what it is elsewhere.

Can you make your font bigger, I went to public school and my eyes are a bit fried from all the muzzle flash.

Venezuelan agency budget, ~$200 million. CIA - 78 billion. When your budget is 365 times as much, I could understand why you’d think they would be more sophisticated.

Yeah it’s a big claim, would be cool to eventually see evidence it was true but I’m not sure how they’d ever be able to prove it. I doubt anyone gets a wire transfer that just says it’s from the CIA
Yeah but then where is shorty fire burning?

Your checking the math, you’ll never have the worst game mechanics when being accurate.

9’s are great. 2/9 = 22.2 years, 5/9 = 55.5 years. Works the whole way up if you pretend people live 90 years. Lol
(Don’t check the math, just believe in the game)

2 sets of teeth, the first only lasting 1/9 of your life and the second being 8/9. 2/9, 7/9 would be much better or just 2/9, 4/9, 6/9.
Oh, hair falling out and all your joints hurting for 5/9 of your life kinda blows as well.

I’m not sure if I can say he’s old enough to remember WW2, or rather he’s old enough to forget WW2.

There used to be a sub for those on reddit but I forget the name, is there an equivalent on Piefed/Lemmy?

Yeah I don’t see how giant aircraft carriers will exist in 20+ years. When it costs billions to make, shit tons of man hours, training and take forever to move around, and someone can put a giant hole in the side of it and sink every $100 million dollar plane that’s on it along with all the people for under $20 million, it’s just seems dumb.
Like for scale, someone could sink every Aircraft carrier in the U.S. fleet for cheaper than the cost of 1 ballroom.
Oops… (Been sitting in meetings a lot today)
