You’re equating creating a meme from some clever shit you saw someone say with slapping someone. Stop being dramatic, I’m just saying, this is how the internet functions. It’s not hurting anyone, and it’s just a way to spread comedy, so who cares?

Welcome to the internet.
Fuck you buddy, it’s gonna be MY year.
Am I the only one who finds it a bit gross that there’s a Spotify ad right in the awards list? “BEST SCORE AND MUSIC, LEVELED UP BY SPOTIFY”

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the highest level of mathematics that should be expected to graduate high school?English
3·18 days agoIt’s certainly possible to make it easier to understand and relatable, but I’m just saying that as far as useful things to know for all students, I think calculus is at the bottom of the list. On the other hand, nearly every single person will encounter some sort of statistics in their daily lives, and it is important to know how to interpret them.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the highest level of mathematics that should be expected to graduate high school?English
111·18 days agoI don’t think rates of change or approaching a limit are things that an average person would find useful. I do think that some sort of statistics should be a requirement though, especially applied statistics.
korendian@lemmy.ziptoPersonal Finance@lemmy.ml•What do you use for keeping track of expenses and incomeEnglish
6·22 days agoGoogle docs. I made a custom dashboard that I manually enter each transaction with a category for each entry, and it tracks current balance, category budgets, etc. I also have a separate tab for credit card debt, payment dates, previous month spending displayed on graphs, etc. I have tried automated solutions like YNAB, but it always ends up getting desynced from my bank account and becomes inaccurate eventually, leading to require manual updates anyway. This manual system is something I stay on top of every day, and has helped me inform my daily financial decisions pretty well.
I am not familiar with flat packs vs snaps, I will have to look into that. I’m not opposed to learning different file systems if need be, it’s all new to me anyway, but if one is easier than the other I would probably go with that.
Reaper was the plan, but open to something different.
What hardware do you have? Mine is somewhat on the older side (ryzen 3600 and rx 6600), but new enough to run games and other software decently.
What apps does Mint have installed by default? Because I’m trying to minimize the things I need to tinker with up front to have a good experience. I am somewhat technically savvy, but this is my first linux install, so I’d like it to go smoothly and hit the ground running. What is the benefit of mint over this OS?

1·26 days agoInteresting stuff, thanks for sharing! Definitely concerning, especially the openAI stuff. I guess I will take a look at grapheneOS again, but I just hate the idea that I need to buy a google product in order to use it.

1·27 days agoThat’s interesting. Where can I learn more about the lack of safety features and the connection to OpenAI? Seems pretty surprising, especially considering they tout safety and data privacy as their primary selling point.
