So the US will be very limited in their options for EV’s in the future. The bastion of freedom and choice is strangled by monopolies. It becomes more realistic every day that this will the Chinese century and the fall of faux Christian empire (at least that how they see themselves).

Than why don’t they buy foreign EV’s? There were options but now both Hyundai and Kia have stopped selling EV models last year solely in the US. In my opinion that makes the choice for BYD logical as these US established brands can’t even sell their EV’s.

Most Americans would not buy a Chinese car anyway.
I love that Americans pretend to be the most important and competitive market. The combined population of Europe is twice that of the US. South East Asia is 700 million. And the choices in EV’s is triple that off the US.
These are the markets Chinese manufacturers are after. These markets accept Chinese cars based on the price, quality and innovation.

That’s not what fascism is at all. But if you are a product of the American educational system, it all makes sense. Maybe buy a mirror.

Such BS about privacy payoff. Do you know what your banks and venmo know about you? Your chip in your phone or credit card, allows companies to target ads in real time. That’s the reality in the US but conveniently ignored because China has to be bastion of privacy violation. In reality China has privacy laws comparable to the European GDPR.
AliPay and wechat are fenomal. It’s like in the western world, 1000 apps rolled into one. Paying, ordering food, ordering DiDi, trains, flights, insurance, sports, tickets all in the one app. Plus you can add mini apps within so when you go to a restaurant you can scan the QR code or just put your phone on the NFC tag, and the menu pops up so you can order and pay directly.
China is much better in regards to infrastructure like high speed trains, social security, health care, green energy but again because of the western propaganda this is ignored. Are there tradeoffs? Yes of course.
But from someone who lived and worked in the US for 2 years and now lives in China for over 7 years, I can 100% claim my life is much better here than in the US. And definitely much, much more affordable which is what the article is about.

Who wants to travel to the fourth Reich anyways?

Maybe you live in a 4rd level city, but here in Shanghai, the speed is fenomal. I download a 4k atmos movie in mere seconds. And outside because most of the city is covered by 5GA, it’s crazy fast. Whenever I go back to Europe, I struggle with both the fixed line speed and whatever they claim is 5G.

China has a bigger landmass than the US and China’s internet is insanely fast. Just like the 5GA. The US is like dialup compared to China. Especially now only Netgear is allowed in the US compared to the innovate technology from the likes of Huawei.

China is so far ahead of the game. They have backup plans for the backup plans. It helps if you have a 5, 10, 15 and 25 year plan and stick to it. Unfortunately this is something most punters will never understand.

Maybe for US citizens because of the threat level they pose on the general intelligence of the nation they want to visit. Even China is visa free for 50 countries now including all of Europe and Canada.

Definitely will have no backdoor or monitoring installed as default.

Better get rid of Rutte than. He’ll sink the ship for his ‘Daddy’.

What? So the US is going to block the straight that is already blocked by Iran, whilst the negotiation are going on to force Iran to open the straight?

Rutte always has bend over to get the Trump mushroom. Called him Daddy. This guy betrayed the Netherlands and now he’s betraying Europe. I don’t know for sure but it feels like Rutte and Trump met on some island…

Most Chinese cars now have one long screen along the dashboard. It’s generally split in 3 sections, one for the driver, one for controls and one for the passenger with controls but also to play media. Plus most Chinese cars have voice commands.

Have you seen their SUV, Xiaomi YU7? I’m not a SUV kinda guy but that is my favorite car right now.
The US can do whatever they want in their country but leave the rest of us alone. We’re actually doing much better without you. It would be even better if you stopped interfering ie start an illegal war, in the name of Israel. Than we can all move on without the US.
