That’s not how tariffs work, it’s the USians paying and the tariffs go to the US government (‘it’s not taxes’, said like Arnie Shwarzenegger going ‘it’s not a tumor’). World still going OK, but chuckling if they know. Every TACO 100% tariff is US inflation.
Tarrifs still put trading partners at a disadvantage because it becomes cheaper to source from non-tarrifed countries.

Here is the problem I see with this. China is a Russian ally so any traded with this is also trading with Russia by proxy.

That is a true statement but I am just pointing out that by trading with China they are also trading with Russia. Russia needs to isolated and right now so does America and I live here. We need to pay for our hubris.
