I still don’t get why is that reddit’s issue. Is the general public not allow to discuss ongoing events like these, it’s never been an issue before? It’s probably just mass bot spamming of reports for these threads, but I’m surprised local subreddit mods cant overrule it.
Subreddit mod removal would show [Removed].
[ Removed by Reddit ] is done by the site admins or AEO.
In regards to comments with the former you could still see your own comments, for the latter even as the author you would see this message, making an appeal nearly impossible too. And the AEO monkeys ban you for literally anything.
This is different than the admins of the subreddit removing it right?
This is the work of the Reddit’s (site) admins, not the subreddit moderators. In fact it seems it is getting removed site-wide.
Legal got a notice. Linus is losing money.

C-suite types have a club. You’re not in it. Neither am I.
Probably mass reported by Linus fanboys. Bunch of fucking weirdos. LTT forum is rife with such chuds.

Admins > Mods > Users
Admins are like the gods of the site. They can do anything in any sub.
Mods are like the demigods of their specific domain (just the sub they are a mod of).
Users have no power whatsoever.
