I had video but no audio.
I had video but no audio.
I’m in the Indianapolis area, and we do have public transit… though I don’t know why.
I refer to them all as ‘The Library’.
Did you know you can borrow movies, books, music, and TV shows from The Library? It’s awesome!
You should make a general post about this to promote it. I just installed it, along with the blocklist Nikelui posted below and I’ve seen a huge difference in my search results. Thank you!
Honestly I’ve mostly been playing around with image generators and learning how to write a good prompt. But LLMs are where I see real value and would love to learn more about self-hosting one, and custom training it.
I find it interesting that the M2 is better for LLM than the M4 will be… what’s the reason for this?
Yeah, I hate Discord too but that has been the best place I’ve found the best information, but even then it doesn’t really feel like a community.
I’m running on an Apple M1 at the moment, likely to upgrade to an M4 when it is released.
I’ve spent the past 2 years looking for the open source AI community, but haven’t really found it. I’ve tinkered with Stable Diffusion and Ollama and I want to learn more, but haven’t found the right places online yet.
The lives they kill are worth so much more so its worth it to them?
The Iron Dome is defensive. It kills rockets, not people.
Which is exactly where it should be… having regional phone companies sucked. Having 1 phone company sucked. Having 3-4 is the least sucky, but we have real competition.
Before tearing apart Google and Amazon, I’df much prefer we have 3-4 choices for internet providers (unless we can turn them into utilities, then we should do that).
Isn’t this what the United States did, just without the genocide?
yes, I know they too have committed genocide but I’m referring specifically to this action
Hi, I also know my industry, with over a quarter century of experience in Fortune 500 companies. The old motto of IT used to be ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ and then salespeople found out that fear is a great sales tool.
When proper precautions are taken and a risk analysis is performed there is no reason that old operating systems and software can’t continue to be used in production environments. I’ve seen many more systems taken down from updates gone wrong than from running ‘unsupported’ software. Just because a system is old, doesn’t mean it is vulnerable, often the opposite is true.
The letter said that after one Microsoft outreach on July 22, a “Delta employee replied, saying ‘all good. Cool will let you know and thank you.’ Despite this assessment that things were ‘all good,’ public reports indicate that Delta canceled more than 1,100 flights on July 22 and more than 500 flights on July 23.”
In order to do that the US government would need to heavily subsidize EVs the way the Chinese government does.
I support this… in my view the Chinese government is putting its money out there in order to get more people into an EV. The US should match their efforts.
Will this mean that no one will be able to pay to be the default search, or just that Google will no longer be allowed?
Honestly, Google is still the best free search even though it isn’t as good as it used to be… and if this ruling means that no one can pay to be the default then Google will still win based on name recognition and performance. Plus they will save money by not needing to give it to Apple.
The real loser here is Apple who is going to lose a fairly large revenue stream.
Good thing water and electricity can’t be used to harm kids.
I have a 3 year old MacBook that runs my local LLM and Image Generator. I read this article from the perspective that the new PC chips would be for people who want to run their AI locally, but I suppose you’re right, Microsoft is going to push their Copilot as hard as possible.
List of jackets
- Hoodie, a zippered hooded sweatshirt (non zippered can be considered a sweatshirt only)
That clears things up… this jacket is a zippered hooded sweatshirt.
Wait, that resolves nothing!
So, being sexist is ok, but being racist isn’t. Got it.
In the 2nd grade. When we got to school each morning we went to our classrooms and dropped off our stuff, then we went to the gym to wait for school to start. I was in a split class (2nd & 3rd grade in the same room) and while in the gym a 3rd grader came up and asked me what I’d do if my box of crayons went missing. I had the Crayola 128 mega box, with attached sharpener… top of the line.
Of course, when I get to class, my crayons are missing, and Tommy has a box in his desk. I walk over and tell him to give me my crayons and he says they are his. A fight is brewing, so other kids gather round. I reach down and grab the box from his desk and put them behind my back, then simply ask “If these are your crayons, where did you get them?” and he replied “My mom bought them for me at Piggly Wiggly”… I pulled the box from my back and showed everyone the ‘Wal-Mart’ sticker on the back. Then I put my crayons back in my desk.
I was always a small kid, always being picked on… this was one of my few wins as a kid and it felt so good.
Out of curiosity, is there a reason that this couldn’t be an Android app? I would think that there should be some way to check a cable’s functionality by plugging it into a phone and a computer.
