Some osint tools use this : they test an email on thousands of services, and use the error result (403/404) to know if the person has an account there.

And for now you can do that, but that’s not the first, and not the last update trying to prevent people selling access to their server.

(Netherlands are currently onboarded)English22·4 months agoI wish we did with more open source and local software. My school in Canada has some agreement with Microsoft so we have to use everything from them.
The school mail used for all accounts is hosted by outlook
The databases are all azure
The 2fa app on our phone to boot the school computer has to be Microsoft (even gave me shit because I am root…)
Teams
We had a whole course for a year on how to use word. It’s a public school. Obviously with this most students will move to the USA for higher pay, we are literally subsidizing the USA education.
I have a rooted phone, is there any tips about that for rooted users ?
My phone has 8gb of ram and can’t keep 1 tab loaded at all.
It isn’t easy to create sockpuppets because in case of a fight like here, Wikipedia decisions are taken by the oldest members. 20 new accounts can’t override the decision of a 10 years old account with a lot of contributions.
Wikipedia has its issues, but not this one.

Same, hiding root from my bank app was easy, no safetynet needed.
But their NFC phone payment was something else. I had to use safetynet and google play integrity fix with fingerprint that need to be renewed and other bullshit. I sent my phone in a boot loop too because the latest version had a bug for my specific phone …

Remember that most people are used to ads and won’t care as long as it starts with videogame ads.

ByGourou@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is Facebook still so insanely popular?1·1 year agoI’ve never met anyone without Facebook here, so I guess it’s usually just not an issue.
(Which sucks, I don’t want Facebook).
I recommend shelter for android for those who do not want this spyware.
ByGourou@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is Facebook still so insanely popular?1·1 year agoIt’s in a mid size city, I guess culture is quite different in Montreal. And of course for age verification I could use a passport or ID but Facebook is common for this.
For the package notification it’s how my building works.

ByGourou@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is Facebook still so insanely popular?1·1 year agoIt is. Also fun fact, I am 50 yo on Facebook, and I have no issues getting into bars and clubs with it despite being 20 xD Nobody ever noticed

ByGourou@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is Facebook still so insanely popular?82·1 year agoI didn’t even have an account when I lived in France because only old people used it, and I didn’t understand the billions users figures either.
But since I live in canada I need facebook to do anything, everyone uses it. If I want to get in a bar, they ask me for my Facebook to check my age. When I get a package I only get notified on Facebook. News by my school are only published on Facebook…
I personally disagree, forcing yourself to use non mutable variables only leads to longer and more convoluted code.
Sorry, I want to make an app that works, not a perfect art piece.

I had one a few years back but my necklace broke and I lost it. It was neat, I should get a new one.
