Halo 1 on PC. 1v1 deathmatch, Blood Gulch, snipers only, no shields. My opponent was using an aimbot. I beat him 25-17.

It was before microphones were common, so he had to type to shit-talk, and he was much slower than me, but had a lot to say. I got a lot of kills by baiting him into rage. I got a few kills by throwing grenades around corners. But a good amount of them were just from out-aiming his aimbot. Lag was different back then. There were tricks and quirks to keep in mind.

He banned me from his server after the match, and when I returned under a different name, he had started banning people who chatted too much. Kek.

It is. What makes it worth it for me is the combination of extremely high quality and very low price. If I could buy deli meat of that quality, I probably would, but I haven’t encountered it.

If you really want to step up your game, try buying raw meat, cooking it, and slicing it for sandwiches. I do this with chicken and it’s served me really well at very low cost.

Believe it or not, top-shelf bacon. It’s got more bacon in it. Less water. You’re not paying nearly as much more per ounce of actual meat as it looks at first.

Lots of “organic” produce has a significantly longer shelf life than the basic stuff too. Never mind whether it’s any healthier or tastier, I’m not saving any money if I pay a dollar less and it starts molding before I can eat half of it.

I think I kinda did ten or fifteen years ago, but I’m a bear/dad now and I’m much more into rugged women than rugged men. My taste in men runs twink-ish, usually.

I’ve got two trans friends who are a lot younger than me and they’ve both called me dad at this point, which I’ve been thriving on. I’m teaching one to drive, and I’m helping the other fix her house up. Feels good man.

Getting out to protests helps a LOT with the doom. And if you print out some flyers for the General Strike to hand out, you can help halt this shit in a clear and tangible way. Keep your internal narrative about your next move, not theirs.

Well, the assholes in charge over here dismantled FEMA, a national disaster relief organization. And there are some pretty Republican regions that regularly need its assistance from hurricanes and other weather disasters.

I got a hefty stockpile of food. Probably gonna grab some extras of random consumables in the next couple days. Maybe an extra kilo of 3D printer filament mostly just for fun but also in case I need some random plastic whosywhatsit that can’t be found any more.

Then whyyyyy did he work so damn hard to sink us? Fucking idiot. No matter what happens, even if I hear about it in a Salvadoran labor prison, if he kills himself, it’ll be a good day.
