Not in the first comment, and I replayed to the second one only because they were acting like a stereotypical obnoxious redditor. As for LMM use, sure it could replace them, just give it a little more time and more money and a bit more money and some more money and also enough data server centres to suck dry entire lakes

“assumptions”? Maybe consider how “I’m so sick of coding” implies you’re doing coding? I’m so sick of driving, oh no somebody ‘assumed’ I’m a driver instead of a mechanic. Believe it or not, most people ‘assume’ something when you use sentences that imply it. CrAZy, riGhT? 😲
Fifrok@discuss.tchncs.deto Linux@lemmy.ml•Orion Browser for Linux Gets Exciting Progress Update7·2 months agoFeels like a LLM to me. There’s interjections in sentences, like this one, and the dash ofc. I’ve found that most models also rarely use first person pronouns (is ‘we’ first person in english?) and there’s none here (unless that’s the style those articles are writen in, idk I don’t read things like this)
Fifrok@discuss.tchncs.deto Programmer Humor@lemmy.ml•Google's Gemini AI tells a Redditor it's 'cautiously optimistic' about fixing a coding bug, fails repeatedly, calls itself an embarrassment to 'all possible and impossible universes'1·2 months agoFinally I see there’s progress in LLMs, they can now output something that wasn’t entirely hallucinated, maybe there’s a chance that a powerdrain tinskin clankkka will be actually useful before it bluescreens. I hope not, the roboloving cogsuckers that make up the owner class might get their hopes (of paying workers nothing, like in the good ol’days) up and will keep the “AI” bubble going just that bit longer.
Fifrok@discuss.tchncs.deto Programmer Humor@programming.dev•15·2 months agoWhite grape? Here that’s apple juice. And not only for ‘juice 100%’ but also instead of sugar (to get around sugar-in-drinks taxes).
It’s in almost bloody everything. Last week I bought pre made tea, I get home and it’s fucking 20% apple juice and like 0.1% green tea extract, guess what it tasted like. fucking. apple. juice.
Fuck your putrid shit ass apples, you greedy bastards. hope you crash your car into an apple orchard if you like them so much.
Fifrok@discuss.tchncs.deto Technology@beehaw.org•Popular Chrome extensions hijacked by hackers in widespread cyberattack4·7 months agoSome of them also sound pointless, e.g the emoji keyboards. I know for a fact windows, macos and chromeos have inbuild emoji selectors. On linux KDE also has an selector, idk about gnome but even if it doesn’t have one there’s probably a shell exstention for that, there’s also an app called grin (or maybe smile? can’t be bothered to google rn). I literally can’t see a reason to use an web extension over those.

Doesn’t GPS work on Linux phones? As for map apps, OpenStreetMaps based apps are free and more acurate than google (atleast in my region), the only thing that might be lacking is realtime traffic information.
