I don’t blame you. I took a long time between viewings. I liked it enough that I had my goalie mask painted like the big stone head. I figured it was funny and a stone head was appropriate for a goalie.

But, did you watch it a second time? Honestly it’s awful the first watch because you can’t get past the aesthetic of it. When I watched it again I realized the movie itself is pretty good. It’s practically the definition of a good bad movie.

To be fair to Connery, Zardoz was right after 007. He was type casted and nobody would hire him. He had to do something different to get new work. Also, Zardoz is legit a good movie… If you get past the weird and laughable aesthetic choices, the plot is a decent sci fi plot.

I just liked linux better so I learned it. That’s kind of my whole career, I want to do something so I get certified in it and start looking to get into it. I’m in consulting. I come in and help people setup OpenShift while teaching them how to use it and then move on to the next customer.

I probably also started with linux seriously around that time frame. I was also a Windows admin back then. Transitioning to Linux and containers was the best thing ever. You get out of dependency hell and having kruft all over your filesystem. I’m extremely biased though, I work for Red Hat now. Containers and Linux are my day job.

And honestly, 40 isn’t even impressive. I run more than that on one host. Containers make life so much easier is unreal.

He can’t seem to grasp that the tariffs are the reason people are turning to China. China is a more stable business partner with cheaper goods that are consistently increasing in quality.
That’s fair. And probably the only good answer, lol.
I’m not sure why you would want to run linux in WSL instead of Windows in KVM.

You seem to not understand tariffs either.

For sure they can. I’m sure there was some other way he could take advantage of it. Sounds like one of RFKs friends did.

In your mind he bought Tylenol shares, then tanked the value of those shares, then profit? I think in this case what is more likely is because RFK claimed he would find the cause for autism they had to find a scape goat.

First, don’t buy it from a store. Second, turn that sucker off before you go home.

So, turn it off before you go home?

Does that matter? If it’s a device that you bought used just for this? There is no name attached to that device at that point. Buy it used on Craigslist, use it for the event, throw it away. It can be any cheap, crappy phone.

Does it matter if that cell service isn’t connected to a name?

I believe there are Bluetooth network protocols that mesh that would work for messaging and not require cell service. It would be smart to organize using something like that and just use any cell phone without cell service turned on. That still gives you the ability to call 911 in case of emergencies as well.

I would be doing it to learn as well. I’m pretty good with Linux, I work for Red Hat. But, I don’t get down in the weeds at all. I do mostly Ansible and OpenShift.

How long does it reasonably take? Just a weekend?
Yeah, people freaked out more about him blowing Bubba than all the credible rape accusations.
