Meanwhile this is happening. Data centers are water hogs. Desalination is very costly by the way, and will greatly raise the price of water. They left out: Say no to AI data centers! AI is lucrative, so more servers in each center will be GPU chips. These run hotter, which takes cooling, usually water or a combo with chemicals and fans. The new centers are hyperscale, much larger, and also run hotter due to GPU. This is the time to call legislators to back the moratorium, I hear that just one more sponsor would start the pause! I hope this is correct. Also it’s important to become informed & to attend local meetings. Probably some can attend the protests, too. Some grassroots ones have been held but a better organized one happens July 18.
