It would absolutely surprise you how common of a thought this is.

Win the lotto for me and a buddy then toss some into investments and properties to sell/rent at a discounted rate following 2019 in comparison to those who inflated theirs. Instead of 2k/m I’ll go $1,500 as long as it’s still above the profit line I don’t need hoards of wealth from it I kinda enjoy working.
Also I’d probably just dump a bunch of money into my kids name to let it start building interest for them.
Because it’s tubing not a handle
I’m a relatively good driver (not the greatest) I’ll never understand how people don’t understand there’s more you can do to control your vehicle speed besides just hitting the gas then the brake. It’s terrifying seeing someone speed up on someone then hit the brakes ever every 3 seconds. I’ve had my set of brakes on for nearly 7 years I know people who change them yearly and I’m strictly talking about the ones I know for a fact get the same level of quality brakes that I get. I own a truck hauling stuff around nearly every day so in theory I should be going through brakes WAY more than the average person.
Up until last Saturday I thought it was an old person’s thing I wouldn’t care much for.
Here I sit watching and feeding my flock of Grey catbirds and enjoying sounds of the cardinals and chick-a-dees. It’s nice.
I hate how accurate you are. There’s no other reason it would be government backed ESPECIALLY during war time where they’re pissing money away and losing their soldiers left and right without be able to fill the open spots.
What reality though? Companies are trying now more than ever to release the shittest cheapest games they can for massive gains. We see more and more trash making insane money. The reality is the average person will play a shitty game for something to do especially if it’s within their interests. In this case it just happened to fail so WB will fire a bunch of people and try something again. It’s a learning experience in the sense that they know they gotta raise the bar for the next release but it won’t be anything substantial.
It’s not something for me now that I’m older but I use to love putting ketchup on mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. I know mac and cheese with it is somewhat common.
Also potatoes on a hamburger is really good. If you do a cheese burger it might take some trial and error on getting the right cheese. I myself like fresh shredded American. Don’t use cheap ingredients though! This is the 1 thing I wouldn’t cheap out on.
It’s really dependable on the person. Like how some guys can pull off a hat and others can’t. Everything from physical characteristics to confidence and maturity effect that. If you like how you look that’s all that matters. Rock the pendant and give someone a reason to see the better view 😉
I don’t like you.
Reddit has been the same since day one. You’re just being dramatic. They had plenty of stupid and off the wall shit that went just as this has. You’re being ridiculous old timer.
I had a great uncle who ALWAYS read them. He said he’s won rewards for them some times. I guess they had a contest in the fine print. He also told me he’s found direct copy and paste stuff in them that he always wondered if it were legal.
Broom flavored soda. Buddy of mine made homemade sodas and did fun experiments and one went wrong so he called it broom soda because that’s exactly how it tasted. He added to much sugar somewhere and it partial melted and had this weird texture that mimicked sand. It’s such a weird drink to describe.
4/10 fun to laugh about but not to try more than a swig.
I’m glad someone pointed this out. Left is 90’s arcades, bowling allies, skating rinks, and a few malls. The right is at home.
Intended recipient of the product doesn’t have to mean customer. Could simply be sending something to a coworker or any number of options. The provided information seems completely understandable. It’s possible that what we are getting vs the person being told could be very different though.
I use to love black olives but idk what changed every single time I get them now they’re brownish and taste spoiled. It doesn’t matter where I go they’re all the same now.
Genuinely curious, is there any major tech companies that haven’t done this? Our info is plastered everywhere nowadays due to this type of crap.
I have a good one. Someone I work with once recorded his boss saying “if I cold fire you I would” later on down the line that someone became his boss and set his ringtone as that part of the conversation. There’s nothing he can say to HR without getting himself in much worse trouble. Funny enough the dickhead one is my boss but the funny one is closer to the team.
If and of, in and on, so and no, these words keep getting corrected for eachother when it shouldn’t. I’ve tried resetting auto correct to make sure I didn’t teach it to do that.
Honestly, lemmy isn’t that welcoming. Read through comments and you’ll notice most of them are kinda snarky and rude. Look at no stupid questions (idk the name of “subreddits”) you ask a serious questions and almost none of them are on topic just people giving you shit for asking. If you have tech problems it’s “install linux, degoogle, stay away from that brand” for someone new reading through them they’ll probably leave because of the toxic community.
I went to one that had a random box of dunkin Donuts 12ct that clearly had gone through their break room and nobody wanted the rest lol
