Of course I would pay an extra few dollars tohave media and guarantee a game will install and run even if the internet goes away.
This isn’t about convienence for the users, its about killing the secondary market

Holy crap really? That’s freakin comically huge

Maybe they chip in with the utilities?

They AI owners wont care if it kills millions or releases the formula to recreate smallpox or anything… Only the stock market or their cash flow will matter to them.
By not including the extra plastic L on the console, Sony realized it could save 7 cents per console.
That’s like the daily temp in South Florida right now… And we haven’t even hit August yet.

But every version of windows requires training because they keep changing crap for no reason.
As in why the split between settings and control panel. Why the nonstop start menu changes? And so forth
Try Mint instead. Its a popular distro that has an old school windows like interface…not an exact match but super close, enough that you’ll be zooming along in no time.
I have used it a lot and have almost no issues except for the very propriety-windows-only software.

No one is ever fired for buying IBM or Microsoft.
You get fired by saving the company million s with open source alternatives until the day there’s an issue and they can’t blame IBM or Microsoft.

You’re lucky to have any land to speak of in most Florida city homes. Lucky for a few yards of grass between homes if lucky.
There is not enough full sun yard at least for my place.

You are lucky…in Florida , FPL actively fights residents installing solar and have insurance companies refusing to give windstorm insurance if panels are installed…which is not an option if you have a mortgage.
Fuck FPL
Look at this place baby… So much room. I could totally see us living here the rest of our lives.
…GeT…OuuuUuut…
To bad we can’t stay baby!

I’ve written my local city council about my opposition to flock cameras in the city. You all should too.
If I had a ghost in the house, I wonder if he/she would help out with the rent?

In your machine cert manager or application’s cert store, look at the trusted cert lists, remove any McD certs in the list.

Have you looked at just having a dhcp hot standby.

It offers better redundancy than just 1 host. Super easy to setup too.

Just adding this to the hatred for McD… Their WiFi requires you to install and trust a McDonalds WiFi cert. Man in the middle https decoding. Anyone who has done this has given McD their creds to various sites.

I refuse to use the kiosks… Hate those thing

Best thing to do here is buy a Network interface card with 2 ports that support a floating IP address for HA. each interface can plug into a separate lan switch for HA.
Last time I did this, broadcomm was a good choice.
I would not run any core services on WiFi only.
How many users ? How large a network? Could you offload dhcp/DNS to other devices to improve resiliency?
I remember when street fighter 2 was released for the SNES. Our store had it at 64.99 and that’s in 1990-something dollars.
Games have always been expensive, especially when hyped and already popular
But I still have an SNES and SF2 and can play it whenever I want. No chance a licensing server rejects me or a lic is flagged invalid in the future.
That’s the difference. I know as long as the hardware works, I can always use that game.
