This shit comes up e very 5 or so yrs. It’s a nothing burger.
When they start fucking with notifs, I become nervous. I’ve seen how easily they can f this up. You can’t make everyone happy when it comes to to notifs but you can certainly piss off EVERYONE with the wrong choice.

The market simply isn’t there to be a viable option to manufacture both size screens. Unfortunately, you’re the minority and your needs aren’t important enough to change their manufacturing process.
It would require a lot to mass manufacture both sizes at the pace these factories pump these things out. It would effect their bottom line and there’s not enough ppl that want small phones to make it worth doing.
I hate that for you and others. But it’s just how it goes.
Three yrs of security updates my ass. That is blatenly false.
I love me some cheap Motorola phones but you’ll be getting 2 years of software support. You MIGHT get 2 OS updates. They’re not supporting their phones with security patches beyond 2 yrs. Ever.
But if you’re keeping your Moto longer than two years you’ve got bigger problems. I know ppl do it, but if security is a concern you should know by now that Motorola is not a device for long term use.
If security isn’t a concern, Rock On if your device is still running strong.
No hate here.
I mean, I absolutely loved this version of Android but I’d never go back beyond Android 10.
10 was a huge step for the OS. I’d like to forget Lolipop all together…
Oreo was the one that I hated the most. Without question. It completely fucked notifs.
I struggle to understand why in 2024 you are dieing on the hill of a headphone jack. It’s over. Let it go.
There’s no argument you can make that will have any logic to it. There once was, but that time has passed, pal.
I am 99 percent sure if a guy had a jack on his phone, yet were listening to stuffs via BT headphones and they died, he wouldn’t have a set of wired headphones on him.
And if I just so happen to have some wired ones on me to offer him, he’d probably be like,
“nah, thanks. I’ll just charge these for 15 mins and it’ll last another 3 hrs”
…
Let it go…
That camera pill is absolutely hidiouus. As per usual.
Nah. Mainstream phones aren’t going backwards. Cope.
When’s the last time I saw someone actually use a wired set of headphones. Hmm. Yeah, I got nothin. 😂
Enjoy your midrangers or Chinese alternatives.
Regarding the size of the phone, there should be a option.
If it’s coming to the US with supported bands, it’s dead on arrival.
Apple, Samsung and Motorola are the only brands that carriers will push.
Oh, and Pixel. Yeah nobody is buying Pixel’s outside of tech nerds.

Ignoring the fact that few folks keep the same device for 7 yrs to begin with, this is only good news for app support life.
The actual title of the topic should be:
“Android app support is getting even better”
This is essentially a nothing burger for hardware in the grand scheme of things but sure. We’ll take it. Whatever.
I suppose it’s a pretty big win for the aftermarket selling off older devices. More than a few brands still absolutely refuse to adopt this, however. Looking at you, Motorola.
