I am not a scientist, or mathematician, or STEM in any way, but if we assume that mercury has a circular orbit, and the sun has a stationary position within everyone’s orbit… and that every planet has a circular orbit, instead of elliptical, then we can assume… that the sun and mercury (edit: or ANY planet) are equal, since mercury is half of the time further and half of the time closer.

That’s what my quoted portion is describing, too. Hostile governments and the ruling elite have infiltrated Congress, and told them to bicker and act like they’re trying but actually do nothing noteworthy. Republicans are dancing to their tune and, yeah also benefiting from it. ‘See, how the government doesn’t work! Elect more stooges and dismantle it further! (Also, Project 2025!!)’

We can’t get Congress to agree to anything right now, the ruling elite and external hostile governments have crippled them. The Republican members see this as a win for Trump and that Biden has limited time and won’t do anything antagonistic. Remember, the SCOTUS is the only entity that can determine whether or not a president acted officially, as per this ruling. The SCOTUS, that’s heavily right leaning, would crucify a Democratic president and justify a Republican. The other route would be impeachment, but we saw how that went and it has the same problems as a constitutional amendment, the gridlock in Congress.

there were a couple things that I hated about their overpromising on the front end; the uniform procedurally built worlds (there’s no real variety of terrain like Earth), the repetitive assets for structures (they’re all the same), planets don’t actually revolve around anything And you can’t fly between systems (they’re boxes, it’s not open. The only way from one system to the other is a loading screen hidden behind a warp animation).

Did they fix these?

The right is underfunding libraries across the country (in the US), attacks like this would or do already further stress libraries when they’re already financially vulnerable. This does have a huge impact on this particular library.
