I completely agree with your stance.
However if your spouse has not figured you out by now and how you use things that’s a pretty major red flag.
Keep it under tight control and communicate better other wise something small like this will snowball to it’s eventual end.
I’ve seen it happen too many times.

You are heading for divorce.
I’m a certified Linux professional of over 15yrs and I have never installed Arch. Not once, never needed it. It offers nothing I can’t either build myself or just install Debian and change what I need it to be.

This is a non story but people want to hate on MS so will grasp anything they can to try and make a thing out of it.

Not open source folks. Don’t fucking use this shite. They have shills all over Reddit and don’t like being called out on it.

Why don’t just use something like Joplin? Or you could try NovelWriter. Both are open source and easy to use.
I have flashes of Solaris in my mind :)
If you can’t provide a better reason than a meme you are already out of the running with life.

It’s a shambles at Oracle these days. They are but a shadow of what they were in the 90’. Back then I had respect for them but not so much now.
How did you test it’s apparent ‘slowness’? I use it and have no issue.

Fingers crossed for this. :)

It is actually.
Closed is closed is closed. Not even going to test on one of my VMs. :/
Oo ty for this I was toying with the idea of installing it but I guess I wont now :)
Because Lemmy is relatively new it consists of mainly two extremes. You have the people that consist of reasoned thought and who know why they are using Lemmy and not other platforms like Reddit and then you have the edge lords who think they’re on to something new and edgy.
It’s a bit like Linux users, you have the professionals and the ‘hackers’. :)
