Guys, gals, non binary pals; I can’t emphasize this enough. The average tech worker Isn’t some Linux guru working for a VC sending pics of their thigh highs. It’s a middle aged millennial with kids who just wants his shit to work.

Basic broken functionality. Broken apps and updates all the time.
Apps break all the time and don’t update consistently. Basic functionality.
Fdroid and the ecosystem are trash. They don’t have the manpower.
Yes they have a good mission and I appreciate and use the work, but it’s grade A garbage compared to the ecosystem and functionality.
Don’t conflate the two and accept the reality and get others to help fix it.

Linux community members are their own worst enemies at times. Instead of acknowledging a common issue. Eg apt vs snap vs flat vs the multitude of container only packages it’s a royal pain in the ass.
I’ve almost gone to full containers. I think it’s the only way out of the insanity.
