Read the thread they said they have provided appimage for years.
Agree on the flatpak part tho, that would have solved this issue.
Lol what? The most “well known” get that way thru insane advertising campaigns not because their products are any better or more secure than say mullvad or, in this case, proton.
If I’m getting more / less the same performance between the more reputable companies I’m going to chose the few that have these types of audits.
Dude you’re doxxing yourself…delete the post or edit the screen shot.
This is a leap. You can be a good person and also see that people as a whole can be both wonderful and absolutely terrible. This is a story about a mega corp murdering two whistleblowers, so far. In this case, the people involved in making this a headline suck and are terrible.
What are you talking about?
People who do this are conditioning themselves to have this experience.
Test this on your days off at first until you are confident: Set one alarm at or around the time you would like to wake up. Fall asleep no less than 6 hours before that alarm is supposed to go off. Set your snooze delay to as low as it goes (mine is 1 minute). Attempt to wake up at first alarm, press snooze if not (the shorter delay will make closing your eyes a waste of time since another alarm is now only 40 seconds~ away, not enough time to make it worth it). Do this until you are able to sit up in bed at the first alarm. Rinse repeat.
Nowadays Ive trained my internal clock to wake up a few minutes before my alarm goes off.
YRMV.
They didn’t want to know about a specific game…they requested a place to find a list
50%?? Been daily driving for over a year and system maintenance is nowhere near the levels it’s hyped up to be. Every once in a while the update requires manual intervention which can be solved by reading the email arch sends out before any of these atypical situations (register to be on the mailing list). Other system set up tinkering is well documented in the arch wiki.
Anyone interested in playing games on Linux should be exploring a rolling release distro even if for nothing more than access to updated GPU drivers as soon as they come out.
Don’t forget the utiltiy of the AUR.
Why you yellin tho.
What hassle? Literally don’t even check protondb anymore…I just buy games assuming they will work and 98/100, they do.
There is a little flag icon somewhere on the right of the store page. That’s how you report.
You can literally earn all the credits you need to buy out the store just from playing.
Yup exactly, I spelled it wrong tho 😐
Ques are over. Come in the water is warm and full of bug juice.
Yeah and if you don’t have similar principals to mine it’ll continue to feel like a sacrifice that may or may not be worth pursuing.
Truthfully I don’t feel like I’m missing out at all. Those developers have been pumping out trash for years.
A few free games as in games I actually want to play. Claiming freebies makes you access their eco system which makes you a customer whether you spend money or not.
I actively avoid it on principle. Same with EA, Ubisoft, and Activision. Buy stuff that aligns with your values and don’t cave just because we need to try the shiny new thing.
A few free games every year isn’t enough to get me to forgo any of that.
Unpopular opinion: HDR is overrated and causes more eye fatigue.
