I remember hearing about them when they first started late research stages(like figuring out how to scale to mass manufacturing levels.)
Was it…uhhhhh…snaps fingers what’s his name, Dr Goodenough? The guy that was a major player in all our modern battery tech?
She’s so fortunate, she hits the dismiss button and automatically right back to full on sleep. Takes her under 5 minutes to get to sleep once the light’s out. Me? Weirdly the only place I can fall asleep in less than 45 minutes is on a plane…
This is why I still have my alarm set for 4.30am, my wife’s got 9 alarms evenly spaced over 45mins. They start at half past 7, luckily I’m well gone and already at work by that time. If I have a day off and she doesn’t…I sleep in the living room.
Cool… unfortunately my search is not turning up much. SCI.ai a science geared LLM was about 30% of my search results over Google and DDG. The other 70% is about Sierra’s Creative Interpreter, and a moisturizer additive had 2 hits.
Glad you gave me the synopsis, apparently I’m incapable of finding that info myself, regardless of what combination of AI/AGI/SCI/DIFFERENCES etcetcetc and nauseum.

Whatcha playing? Flappy Turd?
I had these questions with the S20 FE. The only thing it had that I’d wanted really was the SD card slot. Looking into it after I’d gotten it, turned out the reason I was always missing calls was that the ringtone at max volume was so quiet I couldn’t hear it from my coat’s breast pocket. Like…the media played on the speakers was loud enough for me to hear clearly from my trouser’s front pocket…so why the fuck was the ringtone so goddamn quiet?!?
I love that the Lemmy workshopped toaster has made it to the Steam page already.

Rhetorical? I’m pretty sure you mean rhetorical not theoretical.
Yeah, I got that, but if we don’t say it, and keep saying it, and keep pushing for change… it’s not going to happen.
I think we all know why. Systemic racism, and the stereotypes that come about because of it.
Having done probably more than my fair share of coke, I can say that the person in that pic got some stomped shit, they should switch dealers because that coke is probably mostly meth.
Being car free is totally possible.
Depends entirely on where you live, and how much you make. Sometimes owning and operating a beater is cheaper than getting Uber/lift/cabs to do a grocery shop every week.
Frodo: Hello. My name is Frodo. l am a Hobbit. How are you?
Legolas: y’alld’ve’ff’ve
Frodo, crying: please I can’t understand what you’r saying
This strikes a chord…this was basically me when I moved to Scotland. I’m a bit over 2 years in, and there’s still times I have to ask people to repeat themselves…
It’s a bit more complicated than what you’re saying, but sure.
France has a Head of State, the President, and a Head of Government, the Prime Minister. The PM is appointed by the President. The President is the head of the Executive branch, and the PM is the head of the Legislative branch.
From the Wiki:
The political system of France consists of an executive branch, a legislative branch, and a judicial branch. Executive power is exercised by the president of the republic and the Government. The Government consists of the prime minister and ministers. The prime minister is appointed by the president, and is responsible to Parliament. The government, including the prime minister, can be revoked by the National Assembly, the lower house of Parliament, through a motion of no-confidence; this ensures that the prime minister is practically always supported by a majority in the lower house (which, on most topics, has prominence over the upper house).
They probably would if they weren’t being payed by lobby groups not to. Or at least one would hope they would.
Did we all forget about the study from Mozilla on vehicle data collection?
The fact of the matter is that every single new connected product is collecting data on anyone who uses it. Once the data is collected, it’s sold. Once it’s on the market, that data is used by every country. China will eventually get data on US drivers regardless of what make they drive, the US government just wants first dibs.
I’m not one of those people who think that China and Russia are some kind of utopic ideal we should all be working towards. The US government is also not a shining beacon of ethics.
This is a very common term. I encountered it back home in Canada frequently, and just as much here in the UK.
