  • I don’t really get this distro thing.

So it is basically just like choosing which app to access reddit with, except that if i choose the wrong app i might be auto-banned from a lot of the subs?

Also, i won’t see stuff i am searching for sometimes, because the distros sometimes make trouble if someone else hasn’t already subscribed? Or is that only on mastodon?

I am using Voyager, and chose lemm.ee for no apparent reason. But so far, it just feels like a shittier version of reddit but with better mods? I dunno.

Edit: turns out i was indeed confused.

  • If you haven’t already, you should check out the reporters previous work.

The Red Chapel is about him and two danish-korean comedians going to North Korea. It is pretty fucking funny, but he never really found the smoking gun he was looking for.

Then he went on to make The Mole, which a lady from MI5 called the most impressive private investigative work she ever saw. It is also about infiltrating North Korea.

And without spoiling, the title of the first episode of The Mole is “Methamfetamine and missiles”. It is a must watch.

He also made one called The Ambassador where he infiltrates the government of some African country, i haven’t seen it. But it should be just as good.

  • You’re completely right, both sides have speech they find unacceptable. But lets try to look at it a little closer, what kind of speech does the left try to ban?

Mostly stuff like racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, stuff that hurts others and keeps them down. But i agree, sometimes they take that too far. I think more left leaning people should focus a lot more on economic equality and workers rights.

What kind of speech does the right want to ban? Mostly stuff about their human rights violations, as far as i can tell.

Two sides of the same coin, i guess.
