More sports content. It’s incredibly sparse for sports and leagues in general, and absolutely nothing for local teams.

I don’t take anybody who uses the word “USian” seriously.

Also, do not neglect your cardio! Your boners will thank you.

That sounds like it’s up to the insurance company. But, again, there is nothing in the way of being an emotional support animal that would compel it to be covered by insurance, so I wouldn’t get your hopes up for it being covered. A service animal may be a different story.

No, there is no way. That will be entirely up to the airline. They treat non-service animals as pets, with all the rules and regulations that apply. There’s nothing that obligates them to treat an emotional support animal any differently than any other pet.
I did a little digging into that horse story. It seems it may actually have been a trained service animal and not just an ESA. But in either case, the DOT has since updated its rules to exclude miniature horses from being allowed on airplanes.

Then I guess I’m unclear what you hope to accomplish if you already know there will be no legal privileges or protections. You could draw up your own certification and frame it, Brownie won’t know the difference.

Emotional support animals do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. There is no process or organization to make him an “official” emotional support animal, though there are many companies that will gladly sell you a badge, certificate, or harness.

Nothing ever loaded. Most of the time it would timeout, best case scenario it took a good 30-60 seconds to load a single comments section. Tried on several different clients and it was always the same for that instance.

New-ish (I joined during the reddit hooplah a while back) and my experience has been hit or miss.
I’m on my third instance. First I joined lem.ee and that got shut down. Then I joined midwest.social because I thought hey I’m a Midwest leftist, but that instance has been slow as shit and never loads for me. Tried on multiple lemmy clients with the same result. So now here I am on lemmy.world.
Federation is a good concept but I don’t think it will ever catch on on a large scale. It’s just too user-unfriendly.

Haunted Chocolatier is coming. Might be a little while but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.
With HC on the way and with SDV continuing to get updates, I doubt we’ll see a SDV2. Would make more sense just to keep adding content. Eric has said he still has lots of ideas for the game and plans to add more updates in the future.
Also, if you’re playing on desktop, look into Stardew Valley Expanded. Tons of new stuff: content, characters, maps, you name it!

I’ve bought this game 3 times and I’ll buy it again for another platform if I get one.
After years of playing and hundreds of hours across various farms, I’m finally going for perfection! I was trying to hit it by Grandpa’s Evaluation at the start of year 3 but I don’t think that’s gonna happen haha.
However, that takes away my time constraint, and as much as I love planning crunching and grinding in SDV it’s nice to kick back and go at a relaxed pace.

It’s literally not, you just don’t know what it means.
Modern western society is already founded on the belief that nobody is inherently superior to anyone else. Now of course in practice this has not always been the case, and there still exist a lot of people who really don’t believe this is true. But the ethos is still there, and most people would tell you they believe in it.
To continue that, and to your second point, one of the biggest flaws in any system we create is that humans are not perfectly logical and rational actors. You can’t count on everyone always doing the right thing, even if they could all agree what “right” even means.
Not very well. At least not for large communities, or ones that want to live modern lives in the developed world.
Yes it’s quite possible to have small communities where everyone knows each other, then you can enforce rules through consensus and social pressure.
But it would be impossible to have large societies or to live in a modern developed world with no hierarchical structures.
I don’t remember if it was from one of the movies or one of the other related media, but don’t they claim to have put the humans into the matrix out of kindness and sympathy? That they wanted them to have a relatively easy and happy existence.
That becomes very believable if they don’t actually need them for power. And in fact it makes me wonder if the machines even need them conscious at all or could just as easily keep them comatose.
I they meant in the original concept of the plot, where humans were used for their brains’ processing power. In the movie I don’t think it would matter too much since they just need our heat and electricity.

Any parent who says no is a bad parent and a bad person.
Can’t get to the United Federation of Planets without World War III first.
