Push both until the shit is ALL GONE. Don’t be like my housemate :(

Push both until the shit is ALL GONE. Don’t be like my housemate :(
We have this nightmare in the UK. I’m very fortunate to have a small house just about paying mortgage on a tiny wage, but not really big enough to rent a room. I feel bad for people in their 40s (even couples) who can’t afford a starter home because all the properties are locked up in a rental market.
I pray to calm down. I ask for genuine connection with others, the wellbeing of my country, a wife, that my customers at work would enjoy themselves and we would make ends meet. Ask and you will receive.
Definitely making progress this year but it’s been a slow road to 40. Friends with a common interest, that’s finally coming about.
Jury duty wasn’t fun (child abuse case), but it was one hell of an education. I’m still greatful to have had such smart fellow jurors so we could really consider everything. You get to see how the world works.
Our railways are fucked, our healthcare system is hanging by a thread. I’m so grateful for NHS care and investigations in the last year - dread to think how much Americans would have to pay to find out they have a shitty disease, let alone treat it.
That was such a tidy little app :( Tried to wean myself off Reddit before 3rd party apps were disabled and a friend suggested lemme.
Fair enough.
Ever watched/read the Handmaid’s Tale? This scenario basically happens, and Canada has to cater to any refugees they can smuggle out.
“The most dangerous game”
I got increasingly tired by 30-37 years. Then the doctor worked out I was anaemic and gave me iron infusion - now I’m as energetic as a normal 38 year old. There’s no cure for apathy though.
When my mother went she had an aggressive immune therapy to fight lymphoma. That’s what actually killed her. Ended up looking like 3rd degree burns all over, unconscious and shivering… didn’t look like her.
(UK) my dads office had those for a good few years in the late 90’s, 250mb and 500mb. Which I thought was a huge chunk of data. Roll along 2003 and University and we had … gasp …1gb thumb drives, at which point I realised I could email myself documents.
And I’d be happy for a partner.
Well I wish you the best of luck with your next job.
Oh no, I work in a cinema, as an usher etc. it’s a bit mainstream and a bit art house. I hear you about industry stateside, lots of multiplexes closing
The film industry isn’t dead, it’s still twitching. My cinema workplace in the UK is busier this year than it was after the COVID slump.
Chuck Berry, Rick James, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis…
Like Godzilla.
