Its a cheap phone with a Mediatek chipset, not the best starting point for Lineage OS.

Beyond that, Motorola promises just two years of security updates through early 2028, at least in the UK. But in Europe, it seems that’s pushed out to five years per regulatory demands.
Do they really actively block updates for people in the UK, while delivering them to people in Ireland? That would be wild.
They require an “data center” subscription now, and they will end support for that in 2029. So self hosting jira is basically not an option anymore.

One thing that bothers me is the reviews. For some reason, those Google Play reviews are barely helpful at all.
Surely things like product comparisons are a great target for ads. But still, the typical ad revenue per user is probably significantly lower than the cheapest ChatGPT subscription.
They’re currently burning more than a billion USD each month, it’s fully understandable that they are trying to earn more money. I seriously doubt that ad revenue will even come close to what they need to financially survive.
Nice that you added “status=progress” so I can closely follow what is happening.

I’m pretty sure big OEMs like Samsung do not rely on the public AOSP release.

I think it’s also a great option for games that don’t run well on the steam deck due to lacking performance.

I did not do it yet myself, but I would just install the app on the new device, and register it again - exactly the way I did it the first time. Anytime a new eSIM is created, the old profile will revoked. At least, thats what the FAQ says.

It might be useful to switch phones when you’re going somewhere with a high risk of loosing your phone or the phone getting stolen.

Why did you switch back?

You’re right, i need to use this specific app to change my eSIM. But I’m not bound in any way that I can’t change providers. In fact, eSIM makes switching to another provider even simpler.

I personally like eSIM. I have an app by my phone provider where I can just create or move a eSIM in minutes.
And additionally, I can just create a new eSIM with a new number in just about the same time. When my wife got a new phone, I just created a new eSIM for her old phone. This way, she could use them both for a week or two.

Is there a function to create a booklet or brochure?
This was a very useful feature to print a number of pages and have them in an easy format to read.
However, at least my Ubuntu print driver doesn’t have this feature, and I would need an extra tool to achive this goal.

I’d argue that many of the forests account as “area that is used by humans” too. At least when they are reguarly cut down for wood.

Right. Basically, I can assume that at at least one thing in the household breaks each year. This year, it was the microwave oven.

One downside i see with this is that it is often unclear how long an item will last. For example, I bought my dishwasher in 2021. When will they need to be replaced? The last one lasted 24 years, but I’m not going to bet on the new one lasting as long.
Similar approach here:
It doesn’t take more than 10 seconds to scan a doc this way.
