I first heard it as a chain email in the mid 2000s, so I know it’s real
I thought the newest season was okay. Not as good as pre-season 6, which I expected, but better than a lot of the previous reboot episodes, which I didn’t expect.
Honestly my biggest gripe with the show as it stands is that a lot of the current events references (e.g. Amazon, Bitcoin) are a bit on the nose.
So efficient they guard everyone else’s coasts too!
Especially when he has to keep taking time off work to suffer Horrors Beyond Human Comprehension™
And Greek letters are for when even the Latin alphabet can’t save you
“That’s not how it happened!”
“Oh yeah? I’d like to see your degree in fungineering.”
True. It seems there are different versions of the puzzle, but from a quick search it was popularized by the movie Labyrinth, and there they get around it by having a second set of guards who don’t know the answer explain the setup.
Glad to help!
Yes, but you’re not asking him what his brother likes, you’re asking him what he would say he likes, which is what flips it. You’re basically making sure the answer is a lie regardless of which brother you ask.
It works the same as the original puzzle. If you ask the lying small butt brother, he’ll lie and say his brother would say he likes small butts. If you ask the truthful big butt brother, he’d say his brother would say he likes big butts, because he knows his brother likes small butts and would lie about it.
Essentially the negatives work out so that each brother answers with the kind of butt they themselves like, which you can then use to determine which is truthful (though at this point that somehow seems less important).
“If I were to ask your brother what kind of butts he likes, how would he answer?”
The few times I go to mcD I get two double cheeseburgers because here at least they’re on the pick 2 for $3.69, making them almost half price and so the closest thing they still have to a reasonably priced burger.
I think the stereotype comes less from what Brits actually eat and more from traditional bland British dishes (notably ones that were probably popularized during rationing in WWII), such as beans on toast or the infamous toast sandwich.
“Historically, the two countries had cordial relations…”
See, they were friendly!
"…until 1904.”
Oh. Well, they were friendly 120 years ago anyway.
I think it also put the turtles’ shell pattern on Shrek’s vest
He asked, “Be you angels?”
We said, “Nay, we are but men!”
ROCK!
Asking the real questions. Anything can run Doom nowadays. I’ve seen it run on a pregnancy test.
It’s especially interesting in Piccolo’s case IMO because he was basically born evil as a reincarnation of his father, never having a choice in the matter. It wasn’t until Gohan came along and treated him as anything but a monster that he began to realize he had a choice.
Great quote, but missing a rather crucial bit at the end:
