  • Plan B can suck. But you know what sucks more? Being pregnant. It’s a dangerous life altering scenario that needs to be undertaken with extreme care.

The “Pull out method” only works if you have an extremely accurate method to track your cycle and avoid sex around ovulation. This requires an app and a smart ring that tracks your temperature constantly to find the exact time of ovulation. Even this can only find it after it occurred because of the temperature spike. So only recommend as method for people who wouldn’t mind being pregnant.

If this is becoming a pattern of casual sex get on birth control and get lots of condoms. Both are needed to get the full protection against pregnant and condoms are needed for STI prevention. Keep the condoms nearby your bed and require them. Really the men should also insist on condoms but you can’t control them.

  • See if your city has compost pickup. It’s usually located where brush and yard waste gets dropped off in the early spring. I load up on gallons of it each spring for my gardens.

Native seeds (assuming you are in North america) are harder to germinate. Most need to be cold stratified for at least 30 days and then they have a low rate. The best method is either directly sow in the fall (which is what I do in my wildflower section) or winter sow in a container. I usually buy mine as starters except for my wildflower section which I do from seeds.

Gardening is a long term project so it’s going to take time. Spring is the best with the anticipation and potential in the air

  • I bought my house in 2021 and its been so fun to take care of the yard, garden and everything else. I have been doing sheet mulching (composting in place) in my garden for a few years now and it turned from terrible soil with potential into something wonderful. I am doing a large scale native install in my front yard this year after getting a grant from the state. I am so excited.

If a guy doesn’t want to use a condom and insists he shouldn’t wear one you definitely know you need one. This is obviously a standard move for them so you need to make them wear one. Being fluid bonded is a big commitment and risk for both parties involved regardless of hormonal birth control.

If you are a man who wants to not wear a condom stop it. You need to ejaculate responsibility and not cause potential harm to the wonderful women who are letting you in. Please read Ejaculate Responsibly and see what dangers your semen can cause and use this power responsibility. And if you think it feels different just put the condom on earlier so it gets up to body temp before PIV. It’s not that hard guys

  • I think there’s is a lot of value in a short term relationship especially if it ends well without lot of resentment or drama. That being said the best short term have a defined end date. For something like this it’s more nebulous communication will be important. At some point both of you will need to find someone that would work long term. You might both agree that you can casually date other people while dating

The younger you are and the newer this relationship the more time you have. If you are young there’s more time in your life to find a different partner and you don’t know what you want and same with him. If you’re relationship is new there is plenty of time for something else to break you up. There are other deal breakers out there

  • Porn magazines have a long history of progressive and more alternative articles mostly closer to their founding in the 60s/70s. A lot related to sex liberation and queer rights but lots of other ideas that were fit for mainstream. They would be more progressive than feminist meaning feminism is included but not the focus.

As for porn being feminist this is a controversial idea but there’s people who say it is. Mostly how it relates to women having sexuality and sexual agency about their bodies and pleasure. I would not call playboy a feminist porn studio like I would for Erika Lust which would be a better example.
