The issue is treating all third party stores as side loading, when no other category of device does this. It violates EU anti trust laws, and possibly US antitrust laws as this lawsuit explores. The same thing that happened to the Jews that lived there for millenia before Israel was created, the become normal citizens with no special rights or mandates, and are actually subject to laws intended on keeping all people safe, not just Jews. It worked continuously for millenia through dozens of different ruling states with a half dozen ruling religions, the state of Israel and it’s fascism utilizing ng Jewish supremacy as a base ideology fucked that up.

Genuinely it’s money. Israel, and most importantly Zionist supporters of Israel, have access to ridiculous amounts of investment funding. Most western billionaires and venture capitalists are Zionist in their personal lives for whatever reason. It’s why the BDS movement isn’t really going to affect Israel.
Neither are good options, as the only correct move for the US is to withdraw from the region and accept whatever refugees come out of it as recompense for enabling this conflict.
