I dislike having to use Spotify b/c of the crap royalties the artists get from it. isn’t this worse for the artists?
we’ll, shit.
guess I’ve got some movies to watch
I’m late to the party here, but since I didn’t see it mention elsewhere, I’ll throw up unbreakable with Bruce Willis. given his health conditions, it won’t happen with him but it might be able to happen with somebody else in his place.
I feel like that movie established some solid characters and a somewhat unique case of the every man turned superhero. The whole idea of him just being able to touch someone and then get a glimpse into their hidden life was really cool. Plus there was the relationship with his son, bad guy suffering from that brittle bone disease to contrast with Bruce Willis’s character being, well, unbreakable. it was a good setup I thought for a whole series of films.
totally agree in principle. my edc of choice has been the Leatherman skeletool for the last 5 years. pliers, Phillips and flat head and blade have been the perfect combination to balance portability and utility
ditto. also keep one on each side of the miter saw and at the table saw to use the eraser side as an 11th finger when needed
I know this post didn’t coin the term 'enshitification", but it really is a great way to describe the monetization of everything that was once good on the internet
I’ve always had a niggling worry that downloading apps from 3rd party app stores came with a higher risk of getting apps with viruses and spyware.
any truth to this?
any thoughts on some other sort of remote data backup just in case of fire, water damage, etc? years ago I moved is off of our nas for this reason but at this point on I’m really not happy with Googles process and crappy photos software. I wouldn’t mind moving back to NAS with some cheaper no frills remote backup just in case
yep, my bad. I misunderstood what the program does.
