Somoguy [ChilledCow channel] launched a call for projects, which was won by a student from the Émile Cohl School, Juan Pablo Machado: “He wanted to reproduce the same studious action and style as Studio Ghibli,” he explained in an interview with ARTE (photo). “I took the images he had referenced in his call for projects and started drawing.” Rather than imagining a series of characters on paper, as he usually did, he began his creation directly on a graphics tablet and computer to save time: “I worked mostly at night, because I was at school during the day. I took all the elements I had around me at the time: the books you see on the desk, the lamp…”
He also imagined different backgrounds depending on the time of day: "In the very first image, I had a black background with rain. For the daytime version, I decided to set the character in the city where I studied, Lyon. I loved this city. I took a lot of images of the Croix-Rousse district from Google and designed my background from photo collages of buildings.
I usually check protondb for more detailed data on games compatibility https://www.protondb.com/
Not every single one, but a fair amount. People maintain compatibility lists for different emulators, for example this is one for Ryujinx https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Ryujinx_Game_Compatibility_List
Edit : better yet here’s a list from the same wiki, of emulators for the Switch, with a % of game compatibles https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Nintendo_Switch_emulators
Biased because I’m pro steam deck, but yes, Steam Deck will offer you the full steam library of games, on top of games from other platforms / consoles through emulation
This was the main selling point for me
French perspective here : Vermont sounds like one of the safest states to reside in, even in the current political climate of the US. You sound like you’re doing well financially so I wouldn’t worry for now, but maybe there are specific things that are making you reconsider, they’re valid.
France is hard to settle in, you need to be committed to learning the language and the culture. It’s very worth it but also takes time and energy, do consider that you’ll be an ocean away from your partner’s family, this might play in the long term.
If you do decide to come, I would recommend you wait until summer 2027 (presidential elections) to see how the political landscape looks like in France as well (trump-compatible-far-right has momentum currently), and make a decision based on this.

Tu peux customiser la recette comme tu veux, l’important c’est le saka saka, je suis même en train de réfléchir à l’adapter en version vegan pour les gens qui ne mangent pas de viande!

Idk what else to say so here’s my favourite recipe
Ravitoto Malagasy
Ingredients:
Serves 8
1.5 kg beef
500 g pounded cassava leaves
2 large onions
6 cloves garlic
1 shallot
1 ginger
1 stock pot
salt, pepper
STEP 1
If you’re not keen on pounding the cassava leaves yourself, you can find them in Afro-Asian grocery stores. You can even find them in the frozen section under the name ‘saka saka’.
STEP 2
Cut the beef into large cubes, then sauté in oil until browned (about 10 minutes). Add a little water to cover the meat and cook for 20 minutes.
STEP 3
In a pot (such as a cast iron pot), brown the sliced shallot in a little oil, then add the garlic and ginger.
STEP 4
Add the cassava leaves, salt, and a little more water and oil. Heat over low heat for about 30 minutes. Remember to stir regularly.
STEP 5
Peel and finely crush the garlic and add it to the mixture, continuing to stir. Let it heat for a good 10 minutes.
STEP 6
Then check that the water has drained. When the juice darkens, the dish will soon be fully cooked. The cassava leaves should have turned from green to black. Now pour in the broth and stir lightly.
The ravitoto is best served with rice.
Good job UK ! Now cancel Brexit and vote for the EU one !
