Play the old one. You shouldn’t regret it. The remake still doesn’t have a release date and it’s unclear if it will be as good as the original.

Having a nervous system definitely does not mean being conscious. Even people are often unconscious. Sleep, narcosis, etc. But it also depends on the definition of consciousness of course.
What about the deaf and dumb? Language is not just spoken words. Maybe animals have their own kind of internal dialogues like deaf people.

people have to physically click on it in order to see it, it doesn’t just show up as an image post. at least not in boost
I guess it depends on the chosen post view.
If you use the add image button next to the url it will be visible. If you add it in the body, you have to go into the post to see it.

This is the link to the uploaded image. It is normal.
If we are talking about links it is worth mentioning that the image is hosted by the instance on which you post. When you do a crosspost do not insert the image again manualy just use the crosspost function it will duplicate the link to the earlier image. This way you do not upload it twice.
I prefer to wait and get the finished product. Not another cyberpunk.

It will if the links are the same, but people often upload the same meme or other graphics on different instances as a result there are different links and posts are not detected as crossposts. I know because I used to do it myself. It is best to use the crosspost button. It’s always nice to make sure there’s a link to the original post in the description, because some people may not see crossposts if they’re not federated with the community.
Lemmy aggregates all posts with the same links as crossposts. In fact, you don’t have to use the crosspost function, but it adds a link to the main post in the description which is cool. It gives you more awareness that it’s a duplicated post and can link to a community that is not federated and thus doesn’t display as a crosspost.
edit: I guess posts without a linked article, video or photo are not displayed as crossposts. In that case, there is nothing left to do but to add information in the post that this is a crosspost and add a link to the original.
I think lemmy has public votes to make fighting bots easier. I see nothing wrong with this, but average lemming should know this and its not the case.
