I’d certainly argue he can pivot. He just can’t expect adherence prior to voicing that opinion. I’d also mention that despite my personal “no gifts” rule, I’ve received gifts that were spectacular. With the rule in place it seems to force people to actually put thought into the gift rather than just trying to get somewhat close to my current interests and hobbies.
I have a pretty firm “just don’t get me any presents” rule. It’s taken some time to gain compliance with this rule. Similar to the shirt rule, I assume you gave some of those presents before being asked not to? Try the exact same approach that was used on you. Then you might have to reiterate it every once in a while.
It kinda sounds like you’re doing your best to just live your life and that’s what they are so intrusive over. Sounds more like they want you to force yourself to suffer for religion as they have and it pisses them off that you’re doing you (figuratively and literally). I’d guess they are very sexually repressed.
Which amount to nothing of he is able to get on a plane and fly away. I can’t imagine many countries willing to extradite someone because of some abandonment style crime in that situation.

One of the best villains I can remember from a game, Handsome Jack in Borderlands 2. Maybe he was just written so well, but he was amazing.

Gotta imagine that’s a combination of personal preference and/or hospital policy. From a liability standpoint that’s just easy evidence for a malpractice lawsuit if one was so inclined.
Unless you are doing lots of high quality color printing you really just need a simple black and white Laserjet. Use a kinkos or other print shop for anything fancy if needed. Could even find a local print shop if that’s your jam. Colleges can also fill this role depending on enrollment requirements (if you are or have college aged kids).
Likely, whatever benefits the little guy. Most people don’t have a problem with copyright laws in a vacuum. It’s the abuse of those by large corporate entities that are the issue.
