There are people born after 9/11 that can now legally drink. By Christmas, there will be people born after The Return of King was released that can drink.

I miss the pressure sensitive touch screen my iPhone 7 had. A hard press immediately pulled up the copy / paste menu.

iOS has a non-obvious undo / redo, too. To access the undo menu, shake the phone.
Rom inspired his son to enter into a very successful career, just probably not in the way he would have liked. Then Nog inspired Rom to change career tracks and become a station engineer, so I guess it all worked out.
I don’t get why so many people begrudge YouTube for trying make money. They serve up 5TB of video data every second. Somebody’s got to pay for all of that. They know ads suck, that’s why they sell no ad subscriptions.
The big thing to differentiate 7D2D is every seventh night you’ll be besieged by a zombie horde. You spend the week reinforcing your defenses, stockpiling ammo, and upgrading your gear, then you’re tested. If you’re interested in this kind of game loop, it’s worth a in-game week or two. Like many of these games, they’re more fun with friends.
I think I only watched the theatrical cuts twice: once when they came out, and a second time when the Film Society played them second run at the on-campus theater, so… 2004?
The UK is going through the same thing. The Prime Minister dissolved Parliament about two weeks ago, and elections are going to be held of July 4th. (An odd choice, but apparently elections are always on a Thursday in the UK.)
We used unused punchcards to make flashcards in elementary school in the late 80’s / early 90’s. I guess the county bought a bunch and had to find another use.
And now I realize the primary definition of flashcard has changed since then, from study aid to digital storage.
A three digit xkcd, that one has been around a while.
Some of it could be hand waved as not wanting to bring more attention to himself than necessary. Humans need to eat, he appears to be human, it’s easier all around to act the part, then the acting becomes habit.
Janeway and Paris get it on.
It also removes an emphasis on any one particular planet’s day or year.
Except for Bolivar Trask, he was a Dwarf.
That’s not that prick Lewis Zimmerman, it’s that prick Richard Woolsey.
This game has been in Early Access so long it’s lost all meaning. Good for the devs, I guess, to continue to put time and energy into the game for so long.
The last scene is a little heavy handed with its foreshadowing, but it’s one of my favorite bottle episodes.
I hadn’t heard the Mac story before. I wonder if it’s legit, as I don’t think the Mac, or the Lisa before it, ever had the equivalent of a My Computer icon. Disks appear directly on the desktop; dragging a disk to the trash can ejects it if its removable media, and the only type of disk the original Mac had was a 400KB single-sided 3.5” floppy drive.
Setting the release schedule around vacations and holidays. Sounds like the devs have a respectable work / life balance.
