Time to retire that term. Being “politically correct” in the US clearly means being a bigoted Christian white nationalist, judging by the most recent election.
Don’t remember. All I know is that the average time I’ve spent waiting for when doing self-check is shorter than the average time waiting when not.

Self-checkout has almost always been faster for me. No bullshit narrative, just actual experience.
“My condolences.”

THIS IS WRONG. Death hesitated. I MEAN…IT’S RIGHT TO BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU’VE GOT. BUT YOU’VE GOT TO HAVE SOMETHING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT HAVING. THERE’S NO POINT IN BEING HAPPY ABOUT HAVING NOTHING.

I’m Gen X and have no interest in watching someone play a game in a video. I do like watching someone play in person, though, so I can understand the appeal.

Uhh, might wanna rethink that one once Trump’s in power…
samus12345@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•South Korea President Yoon declares martial lawEnglish3·6 months agoIt’s possible a few might, and with the razor thin majority they have it might end up a majority opposing it, but the SCROTUS would nip any resistance in the bud regardless.
samus12345@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•South Korea President Yoon declares martial lawEnglish4·6 months agoIn the end, it’s what the military actually end up doing (or not doing) that will determine South Korea’s fate. You’re right that letting them get away with it will only encourage further lawlessness in the future even if they manage to get through this now.
EDIT: Yoon said he’d lift it, but I really hope they don’t let the opposition to the rule of law go unpunished.

samus12345@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•South Korea President Yoon declares martial lawEnglish7·6 months agoTrue, but I was referring to when Trump declares martial law, as he said he would. There will be no opposition from his own party as there was here.
It will only be 4 years if we’re lucky.
