  • Not a female, and nowhere close to being as good as you described her, but if you can convey it to her, please do - practically no one cares (maybe not the best way to put it). What I mean is, I have never looked so closely at a women (or their legs). I have other male friends, who are also attracted towards females, and they have never noticed (or at least have never discussed this detailed noticing with me). If she is uncomforable, there could be 2 possible reasons, either she thinks what others think of it, or she is worried about it from a medical prespective. I will come to latter later, but for the former, as i said, I do not think anybody really pays this close attention (at least I do not, and i consider myself as average). Maybe you would have noticed, potentially because you are their partner or close friend, but very likely even you might not have really noticed till she mentioned it to you. So please tell her, it doees not matter.

Medically, it is perfectly normal to have your veins being observable. My guess is that probably the person has really fair skin (almost white), and may not have many melanocytes (maybe genetics, or maybe some disease), and if she does not have a mild or severe reactions (for example, itchiness, or redness) to going out in sun, then her body is producing close to adequate amount of melanin. Veins do appear if the skin is thin around those portions, and skin itself is light (absorbance). If they do not have any reactions in going out, she should feel perfectly ok (tanning does not count as a reaction, that is expected, also, she may not tan much because of lack of melanin, but that is a separate thing). If she has some reactions, then she should consult some dermatoligist, and should probably start wearing some creams (some appropriate spf, sorry, I do not know much about this stuff).

TL;DR - Tell her to not care. In case of any allergies, consult a dermatologist.

I was once renting a room, where due to part my lack of cleanliness (basically not throwing out garbage frequently enough, i waited for a week or two) and my rooms window being right above a flower bed (and i kept the windows open for the most time) and my room being moist for the most time (i dried clothes in my room) I got lots of small red bugs (hundreds or thousands). they did not bite, but they were annoying. I had a few bad weeks, so i also did not care about them at the time.

To get rid of them, I had a multi part strategy, basically 1 was trying to physically force them out - by raising the room temp to high, and cycling window open and close, and also cleaning out my room better (taking garbage every 2 or 3 days), worked partially well (maybe more than half gone). Other was to use a chemical irritant (i used a mix of dettol and water) to spray on their usual spots, and llet them be dry otherwise, and stopped drying clothes inside. Once I got to getting rid of them, I got it in a week or so.

Also where i live currently, it is musquitos. They are everywhere where I live, kinda a public health issue which is largely outside our scope. I cant really do much against them. General advice is to keep surroundings clean and minimise their breeding spots. My folks do try to kill them with the zapping rackets, but that is almost lost cause.

i know it is a stock photo (did not know, but guessed), but can i still not find it wrong. i think my original point still stays, hating random old people is not fun to me.

I am not religious, and I am not old, but this does not sit right with me. I don’t know who the person in photo is, but we are “hating” on them just because they look old?

I understand it is a “meme” and i should laugh at “stereotypical karen” but is not that one of the things that people state they disliked about reddit?

  • I am sorry for your experiences, but my mother would differ. I know we (my sibling) were a pain in my parents’ ass, but our journeys are one of her most cherrished memories. I understand as parent it is not as stress free , you have to worry about safety and comfort of children, many times above your own, but I think that is a part of parents life, they have to bear this pain, but some parents also consider this not a pain, but cherrish this, they enjoy the cute moments.

  • It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.

Is that aa bad thing? coming from a introvert, but exploring the world is not a bad thing. Most things written just feel like someone too afraid of things to change. That could be a personal choice, but definitely should not be generalised. You learn different cultures, experience different worlds, get different perspectives, etc.
