No streaming. DAP loaded with mp3/flac/m4a/opus from ripped CDs and downloads then I make a few playlists or set random play on the while library.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•At your age, what surprises you the most about yourself?

I had a host of symtpoms that could be attributed to low testosterone, or depression, or a couple of other things. I went to my GP and asked for blood tests, to include testosterone & kidney function.
My testosterone is fine (upper end of normal range) so NOW my GP & I can direct efforts towards what the actual problems are rather than wonder about low testosterone as a cause.
It’s a reasonable thing to have tested as low testosterone for men over 50 most definitely can be a source of problems.
I’m running the latest version of KDE Plasma 6 (6.5.3) using Wayland on a GTX 1070 ti. It’s been great so far.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your favourite story from history that is actually false or exaggerated?
26·1 month agoThey asked for false or exaggerated stories…
When I was 19 - 21 I sold drugs in the club scene. Early 90s. I did it Thursday - Sunday. I made £1k per week minimum.
It was not fun but … I couldn’t make surviving money with the shitty jobs I had (I’d been working since I was 15) and this was easy. It was 90s clubs, they practically sold themselves.
Decent money but lots of stress.
Cachyos is fantastic. I installed it 7 months ago and I can never go back (I previously used Mint for years). It’s the best distro I’ve used. Best of luck.

Android@lemdro.id•Uninstalling Google Play System updates is finally possible, right from your phone
2·1 month agoI’m also on the search for a different phone that is more open and onto which I can install de-googled android or linux. Maybe Jolla phone? or Fairphone? I don’t really want (or like tbh) a Pixel.

So Canta (https://github.com/samolego/Canta) is the app that uninstalls and Shizuku (https://shizuku.rikka.app/) is the app that allows Canta to access the system.
Together they’re basically just a UI ‘easy to use’ alternative to direct adb via terminal. Canta displays a list of all apps on the phone system conveniently marked with recommendations for removal - e.g. Recommended | Unsafe | System | Advanced | Expert
I know it’s more work to setup however for ease of use after that I like it. There are lists available (on Github for example) of apps that have been installed on most phone models and I would use these lists anyway if I was using adb+terminal. Now using Canta IT checks the lists, and provides me a visual interface to the apps that are installed on my phone, compared to the compiled lists, and then marks them … then it lets me remove or not as I see fit.
In summary, it’s seems to be a nice(?kind of) UI to adb designed for ease of use.

kbin includes the @ by default and I can’t be arsed deleting them.
