We shouldn’t need rules, because everyone here is an adult and the expectation is they will conduct themselves as such.
Beyond that it says right on the tin, “Star Trek memes and shitposts,” so if it’s not Star Trek related (and the bar for that is incredibly low) or it’s not a meme or shitpost, then there’s no reason for it to be here.
And when this community first started getting traction, people asked for clarification and got told the same thing; there are no rules and that it didn’t even need to be a meme or shitpost.
The removals for bad behavior are one thing; but most of the removals in the modlog aren’t for that.
And now you know why I stopped posting to Risa. There is no consistency as to what gets removed. On top of that, the only active moderator seems to routinely abuse his position by removing stuff that has no reason to be removed. Combine that with the really hostile and toxic behavior from that mod I just outright abandoned this community. I’ve reported stuff and instead of asking for clarification he came in my messages really hot and hostile. “Reddit” type behavior is not something I’m a fan of.
Why should I bother trying to help this grow and be a positive place when the dude running it seems to believe it’s his own personal fiefdom?
